We found this place to be great for breakfast and lunch. Since we do not have dinner out often, cannot comment on that meal.
Bo does the breakfast cooking and has it down pat. Lunch is very good too; we do not know the name of the person who does the main cooking at that time. [We think it is Raphael?] Bo is still there at noon.
I love the chicken livers. They are served on a piece of toast - something which is usually reserved for the very finest restaurants. My wife swears by [not at] the hamburger for lunch; says it is one of the finest anywhere, and, not overly huge. If you order it, it comes well done only, but is still juicy. I also like the club sandwich, fish sandwich, and, practically everything on the menu. If you order spaghetti with meat malls, be prepared to take home a box! The serving is more than generous.
In addition to the specials listed on the menu, there are daily specials posted on a board as you enter. Be sure to read them. Bo has some extra special specials for breakfast which are not to be ignored.
When we moved to Clemmons in 2009, the Kitchen was one of the first establishments we tried. Ronda greeted us when they opened for breakfast. She was such a delight, and informative for us newbies, we became good friends. Now when we eat at the Kitchen, we make a point of asking for a table she serves. She must have a bunch of regulars, as we notice the other waitresses have half the number of customers asking for tables with them. Not to slight anyone tho, Angela [the "Glider"] and Susan are also very good. Actually, most of the staff are pleasant, careful and quick. And, with few exceptions, all smile regularly.
So, to sum up, good American style food combined with very good service and pricing, makes Clemmons Kitchen one of, if not our favorite restaurants. It is good food for the money as we see many other regulars, including some very hungry construction personnel, enjoying breakfast and lunch there.
Try it, you will like it!
And, ask for Ronda, Angela or Susan if it is your first time eating at Clemmons Kitchen. For sure you will have great service!
