The food is delicious and there's plenty of space to sit, especially outside on sunny days. The place is quiet and tidy, making it a nice spot to enjoy some casual bar food and drinks. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring your experience is enjoyable.

Had the broasted full chicken dinner. Crisp, moist, so very good. Served very hot so knewasw it was fresh. My son had the shrimp basket with sweet potato fries. Excellent! Prices very reasonable. Will definitely return. Although it was Friday night, I passed on the fish, but seen other dinners enjoying what looked like a great meal!

Saturday, 10/14, Went to have one of there typically very good prime rib dinner.
Party of 3, 2 king/1 queen cut, all arrived at table same size, same doneness, smaller than normal queen cut and cold, I mean cold. Sent back, got same thing back.
Soup? Pasty, raw flour taste with no substance.
Real problem? They would not listen.
Been here many times, this was the worst.

This is now under new ownership and will be called "The Woodpecker" in a nod to the original establishment. The new owners - Ashley and Mike Hastreiter - run an excellent bar and grill in downtown Rhinelander called "Bucketheads Sports Bar & Grill" and the community is very excited for the changes to come!
