My dad, who hailed from Antigo and graduated high school in '39, often reminisced about Gunkel's, a local favorite. During my recent trip to Wisconsin, I made a stop in Antigo to visit my grandfather's grave and childhood home on Field Street. At Gunkel's, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, delicious cranberry bread, and the option to have their goodies shipped nationwide.
