The Dalles House is a fantastic spot for a special occasion with its excellent food and elegant setting. The walleye fingers and steak bites were absolutely delicious, and the friendly staff made the experience even better.

Bad experience. We wait for almost two hours and the meat was dried, bread too
Chicken salad was more lettuce than chicken.
So sad!

I have visited the Dallas house many times over the years and have always had a good experience! The food is always good if not outstanding. Service is excellent always. Popovers are the best ever! I highly recommendðŸ˜

My friends & I came in yesterday for some drinks/appetizers. Our server was incredibly rude to us, very offhand. We were genuinely shocked by how unfriendly she was. All of us are 22 or 21, and she IDed us and took our drink orders, then came back a few minutes later accusing a few of us of not being of age. She grabbed my friends ID right out of her hand and took it back to the bar. We ended up cancelling our drink orders and leaving. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable situation. We were sad because we had heard good things about the Dalles but unfortunately our server really ruined our experience.

Love their indoor dining. Classy, unique decor. Fantastic food. Wait staff are very cordial and knowledgeable. With Covid, that was our last indoor don't in March. We ordered take out last week and plan to do the same tonight.

1st time visiting here Saturday night with my parents who live in North Carolina and we had the best food and the best service. I wish I did t live so far away. We all had chicken broccoli dish and the sauce was so good. And Beth our waitress just made our night so much fun. She was calling my parents "kids" and they are in their 80's. They loved it!!! Such a Gem of a find.

My wife and I go every year for our anniversary. The food was excellent as it is every time we go. What a great surprise that their were 2 for 1's in the bar. Our server Beth was excellent and so much fun, and thanks for making it such a memorable night.

Of all the times we have eaten there, we have never been disappointed. Last night we ate at Kozlak's in Shoreview, and the same steak that sells for $20 something at the Dalles House sold for $33 there, and it was terrible. Always juicy and flavorful and delicious at your place.

Went there on New Years 2010/11and found out that prices were raised for the night from the regular menu and bar. Was advised it was a supply and demand however there was hardly anybody there. What a way to slap it to the consumer on a festive evening. Will never go back again due to the rude behavior of the bartender!

My wife and I ate an early dinner Sat. Oct 2 which we split. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Scallops which said there were six scallops and when the dinner came there were only four and my wife asked why and the waitress said it depended on the weight, my complaint is that the menu is very misleading when it says six. I suggest they change the wording, my wife was very disappointed with the meal.
