The staff at this restaurant, from the bartenders to the bussers, are all exceptional and contribute to a great dining experience. We visited for dinner on a busy Tuesday night and were able to secure a reservation. The fish special on Tuesdays was a hit, with generous portions and perfectly prepared dishes. The overall atmosphere and value make this a must-visit old-fashioned supper club with excellent steaks.

I have been coming to Green Acres for years, always been one of my favorite places to dine. The food has been inconstant over the past couple of years. A week ago on a Tues. night the fish fry was fantastic. Then the Friday fish fry the same week was over done, thin strips and dry and barely warm. The Fettuccine Alfredo was not good and the sauce had a pink tint to it. Did not taste like Fettuccine Alfredo, seemed like a left over seafood sauce warmed over. The jumbo shrimp has been good the past 2 times I have had. The French fries are good if you get them hot.
The wait staff has been great.
I will continue to dine at Green Acres but I wish the food was more constant.

I took my wife to dinner at Green Acres this afternoon for her 65th birthday! We had the 8 ounce filet. We had it cooked medium rare. These steaks are the BEST filets we have had in a REALLY LONG TIME!!! The salads and sides were amazing to!!!! We would RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT for all people who want to have an unbelievable meal!!! The waitress was FANTASTIC also. We met some people in the bar that my wife worked with at the UW Hospital. Fresh halibut special excellent, as was the NY strip steak. Very satisfied customers.

Have gone for Saturday prime rib special twice recently, both times took as carry out. I remember going there as a kid with the family, brought back a lot of memories just stepping in. The host, a middle aged gentleman, was very professional and friendly he had double checked the order and made sure everything was correct before leaving. A lot of food for the price was very suprised! And we'll done, taste was amazing!! Some of the best prime rib I've had. The 2nd time we were missing bread, cheese, a salad/side but was a bit of a drive so did not go back for the carry out. I feel I should have double checked the order as the same host was not at the front counter. Overall I am a fan and glad this restaurant is near by.

For years we've passed by and talked about wanting to stop in and try Green Acres. We finally had the opportunity and aside from the atmosphere enjoyed at the bar our meal was very average, not much flavor! The seafood platter had mostly fish and just bite size pieces of all other on the platter! The Ribeye was ordered well done and some what expect a chewy piece of meat that way but it was burnt to a crisp on the outside and the inside was med. - med. Rare . The extremely burnt flavor is all you could taste! The steak itself was full of fat, not worth $22!!! Also the cheese on the hash browns was a processed piece of cheese, yuk! This made no sense to us at all when they had good wisconsin cheese on the salad bar! Wouldn't recommend a meal at green acres but maybe a cocktail and appetizer at the bar.
