This is my go to up north resturant. I have never had a bad meal here and there is always a complimentary appetizer. Great martini menu too. It's really hard to find a great meal in the area that is worth the prices that are charged, except for Jacobis.

You'd think that a $29 steak would merit some attention by the kitchen staff but not at this joint. When the steak, which was ordered medium rare arrived, it was cooked well done and looked burnt. Though they offered to cook another one, by the time it arrived the table I was sitting at would all be done with their food.

There is nothing worse than looking forward to a perfectly cooked piece of meat and receiving something that looks like it was cooked by a moron who has trouble getting dressed in the morning. On a trip that lasted two days with this meal to be the highlight, it almost ruined my trip.

Don't make the same mistake. Skip Jacobi's and get some fast food. Don't waste your money waiting for them to muck up your meal.
